Hazardous Tree Assessment

Hazardous Tree Assessment

The Certified Arborists at Neuheimer Tree Care have performed many Hazardous Tree Assessments over the years. Although trees provide us with shade, privacy, oxygen and many other environmental benefits, sometimes trees can create a risk of liability.

Is It Really A Hazard?

It can sometimes be difficult to tell if a tree can be labeled as hazardous. That’s why we follow standard evaluation methods for hazardous tree assessment. Some trees are in obvious danger of posing a risk due to structural damage, storm damage, diseases and pests.

Hazardous Tree Assessment - Hollow Tree

Trees with broken trunks or limbs, or trees that are in danger of toppling due to ground disturbance can look and feel solid, but may be in immediate danger of failing and causing damage, injury or even death. Sometimes, a tree can look perfectly healthy, but be suffering internal structural damage due to decay, pests, or wildlife infestation.

Other trees may appear damaged, but are simply in need of bracing, pruning, or pest control. We try to minimize unnecessary removal of healthy trees that are in need of care. Whether or not a tree can be restored to a state of health and safety for both people and property, we will tell you what actions need to be taken.

On TRAQ With Your Trees

We are TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) certified with the ISA. This means that we are trained to use a standardized and systematic process for assessing tree risk. It is the aim of TRAQ to promote the safety of both people and property by providing you with the information you need to make an informed decision.

Removal or Preservation

If we do assess a tree as being a hazard, we will inform you of the options to remove any risk of liability. After a thorough hazardous tree assessment, our arborists will make a recommendation for action. Actions to remove hazards may include trimming, bracing or complete removal.
